The Puster Valley Cycle Path, which leads directly through the three valley villages of Olang, connects you with the rest of the world - at least as far as your legs can kick the pedals and your bike carries you. Discover the road bike destination in the heart of South Tyrol - and from here the most beautiful nature parks, low-traffic side valleys and pass roads. The Furkel Pass will lead you directly to the neighbouring village of St. Vigil and from there you can discover the whole Badia Valley!
Make your racing dream come true and follow the footsteps of the world-famous Giro d'Italia. In 2019, Olang and the Antholz Valley made road bike history with their stage over the Furkel Pass. And somehow the Giro pass tour still inspires people to achieve peak performances. Cheering loudly at the summit is a good thing: and goose bumps are guaranteed. So put your Maglia Rosa jersey on and climb up to the Furkel Pass and Stallersattel!
Historical fun fact (for all those who like to ride in black cycling jerseys):
From 1946 onwards, the Maglia Nera, the black jersey, was awarded to the last-placed rider in the overall classification of the Giro d'Italia. However, as the fight for this consolation prize - which attracted a lot of attention and a not inconsiderable cash reward - degenerated into a bizarre competition in the following years, the trophy was abolished again in 1951. The last person to wear the jersey, was Giovanni Pinarello, founder of the famous Italian bicycle label Pinarello. So, there's no reason to keep your head down or hide if the mountain classification doesn't quite live up to your high expectations ...
