Welcome to your road bike home base
Welcome to Olang

Olang is in a super central location in the Puster Valley - away from major traffic routes, in the middle of greenery, on the flank of the Kronplatz and in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site. The most legendary Dolomite passes are right on our doorstep. Also, the most rustic side valleys and the most beautiful national parks of the region can be reached in no time.

  • short distances to the most legendary Dolomite passes
  • varied round tours at medium altitudes
  • extensive, asphalted network of routes for rallying in all directions
  • low traffic feeder roads
  • Puster Valley cycle path
  • directly on the flank of the Kronplatz mountain
  • In the middle of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site

The barely frequented side roads - used almost exclusively by tractors and cyclists - wind between the four fractions of Mitterolang, Oberolang, Niederolang and Geiselberg. The four small villages do not form a central village - they are still quite originally dissected by meadows, cultivated alpine pastures and small forests. The network of routes in between makes racing cyclists' hearts beat faster: it is simply a perfect area. You can't escape the rustic charm of the green valley basin with its countless alpine huts. And the Dolomite passes all around promise the magic of exhaustion and the desire to take risks.

Starting point:
Fahrradroute Pustertal

On the trail of the legends
Furkelpass

Whoever hears Kronplatz and whoever has a passion for road cycling inevitably thinks of the Giro d'Italia. Because the classic road bike race, which has been giving you goose bumps since 1909, made a stop in the Antholz Valley and in Olang in 2019. At the 102nd edition of the world-famous stage race, road cycling history was written here: The 17th stage had its finish line in the Südtirol Arena, the 18th stage started in Mitterolang and led via a specially built road directly to the Kronplatz.

So, are you fit enough for the Giro Challenge?

Après Bike

For the programme after your road bike tours, as an alternative for your race-free days and for your young cyclists, we have many nice options: family is extremely important in South Tyrol's No.1 active family village. From kids to grandparents, here there are numerous opportunities for the whole family.

Tasting South Tyrolean specialties are a big MUST on every agenda! Because Alpine-Mediterranean cuisine is just as important, as the fresh mountain air and the challenging Dolomite passes.

Olang is... two worlds in one: nature idyll & Dolomite adventure. You decide what you feel like doing! Do you feel like riding through the pale mountains until your legs hurt? Then off you go from the lonely, picturesque Dolomite village up to the Kronplatz in the blink of an eye - the routes are short, the top road bike destinations in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Dolomites are within reach.

All you have to do is decide which challenge it should be today:
