The Dolomites – pure fascination and unlimited MTB passion! They captivate you with their magical charm, inspiring you to aim higher and achieve more. In the presence of the pale mountains, rugged peaks, and steep ridges, you’ll feel exactly why you love mountain biking so much. The contrast between bizarre rock formations and gently rolling alpine pastures offers passionate bikers – and those who aspire to be – the perfect playground. It’s no coincidence that this, the most beautiful mountain group of the Southern Limestone Alps, holds the title of UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the Bike Approved Area of Olang, the possibilities are endless: among the many tours and trails, there’s something for every skill level. E-mountain bikers and pleasure bikers also find ideal conditions here.
Resonant names like Fanes, Sella, Odle, and Kronplatz promise epic MTB adventures and dreamlike panoramas! And we promise you: You, too, will dive headfirst into the adventure and fall head over heels in love.
Olang offers you the perfect base to return to peace and tranquility in the midst of untouched nature after all your adventures. Everything is close, but not too close. There are plenty of opportunities to let loose around the Puster Valley – with ideal biking conditions from May to October! After all, Olang is not only situated right at the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites but also in the heart of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park. On the opposite side of the valley, to the north, Olang borders the Antholz Valley – where the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park awaits you too!
Around – and on – the sun-drenched summit of Olang’s local mountain, Kronplatz, countless trail variations wind their way through the sunny forest slopes. Sounds a bit too perfect? It really is!
But that’s not all! The 105 km long Puster Valley Cycle Path runs right through the three villages in the valley (locally referred to as "fractions"): Mitterolang, Oberolang, and Niederolang. It’s the perfect way to conveniently reach other mountain biking destinations in all directions via the cycle path. For instance, head directly into the Braies Valley, the Antholz Valley, or to Brunico – perhaps for a cultural or culinary detour.
Leisurely pleasure tours through the three green valley villages and spirited descents from Geiselsberg, the fourth fraction of Olang directly at Kronplatz, are rewarded with homemade South Tyrolean specialties – because biking and culinary delights are closely intertwined here in this lush green valley basin.
