The South Tyrolean dolomites region Kronplatz has long since made a name for itself in the bike scene as the venue for some top-class bike events. The events here are just like the Dolomites all around: majestic, steep - simply unique! The king among the events is undoubtedly the Kronplatzking MTB Marathon. Also the Transalp mountain bike event has a guaranteed stage in St. Vigil every two years. Another event that takes place every year is the Maratona dies Dolomites, that makes its way to the Enneberg Valley. And, last but not least, there is the toughest practical test in the industry and the presentation of the most innovative new products of the year. The Kronplatz King MTB Marathon is the region's annual super spectacle - whoever takes the crown secures their place in the mountain biking annals. The starting line is in the neighbouring village of St. Vigil, the finish line at the Kronplatz summit. 800 fearless bike knights take to the starting line every year - but only one can take the crown. The Kronplatzking is the only MTB marathon with 8 km of freeride descents, 9 km of single trails and a mountain finish line at the summit at 2,275m. In the middle of the Dolomites.

With the Transalp and the Transalp Tour, every year another quality MTB event is hosted not far from Olang. The nearby village of St. Vigil is also a fixed stop on the Alpine crossings every two years.
